***SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH UNTIL MIDNIGHT FOR LAUDERDALE, COLBERT AND LINCOLN COUNTY TN. ***

A weekend cold front will bring in another hint of fall by the start of the early next week. Before we get there, there will be some scattered showers and storms a few of which could be strong later Friday evening.

Showers and storms will start pushing into north Alabama around sunset this evening. A few could be strong to severe, especially around the Shoals. Strong wind gusts are possible along with heavy rain and frequent lightning. Lows tonight will be in the upper 60s.

Saturday starts off with scattered rain and storms particularly through the morning hours. We'll stay cloudy, but dry out during the afternoon. Temperatures will turn cooler with highs only reaching the mid to upper 70s.

Sunday looks great with a comfortable start in the low 60s and a sunny and pleasantly warm afternoon in the low 80s.

A cool morning in the 50s is ahead as we kick off the new work week on Monday. The week ahead will feature sunshine and dry weather along with pleasant humidity conditions. Morning lows will be primarily in the low 60s. Afternoon highs will climb through the 80s and could be back around 90 again by the end of the week.

TONIGHT: Scattered rain and storms, some could be severe this evening. Lows in the upper 60s. Wind: SE 5 mph. 

SATURDAY: Showers and storms, especially in the morning. Highs in the mid to upper 70s. Wind: N 5-10 mph.
