A Huntsville woman was arrested following two hit-and-run crashes on Monday night.
The incidents occurred along Triana Boulevard, involving a small black sedan and a white truck.
Julie Yvette Pinchon, 33, was identified as the suspect, said Sgt. Chris Jackson of the Huntsville Police Department.
Officers noted a strong odor of alcohol on her at the time of her detention.
Pinchon first struck a vehicle at Holmes Avenue and Triana Boulevard, said Jackson. She then continued south, ran a red light, and collided with a truck at Governors Drive.
The driver of the truck complained of injuries but declined medical treatment, said Jackson.
Pinchon was detained after attempting to run away.
During her evaluation by Huntsville Fire Department personnel, police said Pinchon spat on a firefighter. She was charged with driving under the influence and assault with bodily fluids.
Criminal case reports for leaving the scene of an accident are under review by the General Investigations Unit.
